There are also foods to avoid during detox: red meat, chicken, turkey and any meat products, milk, cheese, eggs, and cream, butter and margarine, any food that has wheat (croissants, cereals, cakes, biscuits and pies), crips and savoury snacks, chocolate, sweets, jam and sugar, processed foods, alcohol, coffee and tea, sauces, pickels, salad dressings that are store bought, salt, and fizzy drinks and squashes.
Detox Menu 1:
1.Morning (Upon Rising): Drink two glasses of pure water, one glass with half a lemon squeezed into it.
Mixed Fruit Salad: ½ papaya, seeded and sliced; 1 banana, sliced; 1 pear, sliced; ½ c. strawberries or raspberries; 6 grapes; 6 tbs. unsweetened fruit juice; 1 tsp. maple syrup (optional);
Mix the fruit slices and pour unsweetened fruit juice and maple syrup (if using) over them. Serve at room temperature.
3.Mid Morning: 1 c. nettle tea.
Mixed Fruit Salad: ¼ melon; 1 c. pineapple, chunked; 1 banana, sliced; 1 apple, sliced; 1 pear, sliced; 6 grapes; 6 tbs. unsweetened fruit juice;
Mix all the fruit slices and pour unsweetened fruit juice and consume immediately at room temperature.
5.Mid Afternoon: 1 c. thyme tea.
6.Dinner: ½ papaya, 1 mango.
7.After Dinner: 1 c. chamomile tea.
Choosing organically grown fruit and tea highly recommended. Also, during the 24 hours of following the above meal plan, get sufficient rest, and keep your body warm. It is important to drink purified water throughout the day in small amounts. Doing gentle stretching, yoga positions and breathing exercises will assist the detoxification process as well.
