Back Care - Problems And Solutions:
Back pain or backaches in medical terms is known as " Dorsalgia" and it usually occurs from the muscles, nerves, bones, joints, and other parts of the spine. People may experience a lower back pain or an upper back pain.Back pains can be a problem and a hindrance to the proper execution of daily activities.

Causes Of Back Aches:
Back pains are mainly a prevalent problem among adults , women in most cases experience back pain, during menstruation eventually result in lower back pain. Back pain may also occur because of the position in which one sleeps including the type of mattress that one uses. Our seating positions may also affect our back enormously, as sitting in the wrong or improper position may cause a backache, which can be reduced by breaks every hour or every half an hour , by standing and stretching , twisting the body to the left and eight consecutively for about 4 to five times. To solve the problem one can also make use of (Ergonomically designed chairs) which is a chair that supports the back , by enabling the user to be seated in the correct posture, where the upper torso and the neck are in an almost vertical position, the thighs are horizontal whereas the lower legs from knee downwards in vertical. Similarly if the body is arched in a convex position to long then one must stretch the body in the opposite direction to lower the occurrence of back pains. Back pains are also a result of damaged discs in the spine, keeping the nerves pinched together , neck pain is often followed by this condition apart from the pack pain that is a direct result of course. This happens due to the deterioration of the disc of the spine. The spinal cord may also experience pain when one suffers with arthritis; the pain that is caused by arthritis can be alleviated up to an extent with gentle movements however it is degenerative issue and other is cure the this physical condition. Occasional exercise or no exercise at all can lead to beck aches over the years in ones life. Back pain can also be caused due to the deficiency of calcium, and the lack of other nutrients , the lack of proper sleep, increasing stress levels, unhealthy life style, muscle strain, sprain of ligament etc.

Ways To Avoid Back Pain:
When it comes to muscle spasms, a heating pad can be really helpful to alleviate the pain to an extent, medicines also cause of relief , for those who suffer from a chronic condition of back pain can try and prevent it in several ways Women should make it a point to wear flat heel shoes more often then they wear high heel shoes . while sitting at a desk one must try sitting at a posture where the head is to lowered to much but rather , one should be sitting at a posture where everything is visible at eye level. While lifting heavy objects it is advisable to bend the knees keeping the spinal cord straight , in a squatting position in addition to keeping the object that is being lifted as close to the body as possible. another way of maneuvering heavy objects is to push them instead of pushing them. Regular exercise is great way to strengthen the back and prevent back problems including the maintenance of overall health.

Exercise To Lessen Back Pain :

  • Lie on your back in a position where the knees are bent, then slowly raise one leg towards the chest so that the knees bend and touch the chest, while the lower back is pressed against the floor. Maintain this position for 5 to 8 seconds and then release leg relax for a second or two, after which repeat this procedure with the other leg. This exercise should continue 20 to 25 times from one leg to another.
  • Lie flat on the floor with the knees bent, after that cross your hands in a self hugging position , then turn your head to the right while you turn your knees to the left , after that bring the knees back up slowly while the head goes back to the center. The same procedure is repeated with the knees and head being turned to the opposite direction.
  • Lie flat on your back with you knees bent , cross your arms and then slowly lift the buttocks from the floor for as long as 5 seconds at least then bring the buttocks back to the floor.
  • Lie straight on you back with bent knees, pick up one knee and raise the knee to the chest , after that straighten the leg in away that the leg is held in the air with the foot pointing up and hold it for a few seconds , then repeat the procedure with the other leg , keep switching legs repeating the same exercise for 5 times on each leg.
  • Lie straight on your back with the knees slightly bent and then and put both your hands behind your head then lift your head with the chin towards the chest, lift up the trunk slightly and simultaneously , keep that way for about 2 seconds and then.
  • Kneel down on the floor placing the entire arm in a vertical position with palm resting on the floor for support, or simply place the body or all fours; and the head should be placed according to the posture of the neck, so the eyes take a gaze on the floor . Arch your back and then lift the head towards the ceiling, after that lower the head and arch your back towards the opposite direction. the movements should start from the lower back while performing this exercise.
  • Kneel down on the floor in the all fours position with the head slightly tilted up and then move the right hip towards the right as far as possible keeping the trunk straight and then move the left hip as far as positionable towards the left, keeping the trunk straight almost in a tail wagging position. Repeat the procedure on either side for about 10 times.
  • Kneel down in the all fours position , and tilt your head up slightly then straighten the leg, pushing the foot backward to place the leg parallel to the floor, bring back the leg to the original position.
  • Kneel down on a mat and and sit in such a way so as to let the buttocks rest on the heels, after that bend the back and then stretch the arms on the floor with palm touching the floor, and head touching the floor as well , to be in a crouching position. Then lift your body by moving your elbow up and then stretch your legs out towards the back with the stomach on the floor and the trunk lifted up.
  • Back pain has several causes, however there are some who suffer from a chronic condition and then there are some who suffer from back pain from it time to time. According to researchers sitting in a posture with the back in 90 degree position causes the spinal discs to get out of alignment, however it is the 135 degree position which is a good position for the posture of the back while sitting and the knees should be bent up with the alignment at the hip position.
