 There are different types of brushes available to choose from. It is important to pick the right hairbrush for your kind of hair style and texture. Brushing helps to distribute the oil and keeps hair shiny. Here are some tips to choose the right hairbrush:

- Choose a brush which has a light rubber or wooden handle to give you a close and tight grip.
- If you have curly or wavy hair, use a round bristle brush. The wider the brush, the straighter your hair will be when you dry it.
- If you have straight hair, use a boar-bristle to blow dry your hair. For added volume, use a brush with smaller diameter . They also distribute sebum, the hair's natural conditioner. These brushes are good for people with thin fine hair.
- A flat brush is good for using on everyday basis on straight or wavy hair. They are known as paddle brushes and are wide.
- Hot air brush is a type of electric brush that adds wave, body and volume to the hair.
- Cushion brush has a rubber panel with ball tip bristles. These brushes are recommended for fine or thinning hair because they are gentle.
- Styling brushes smoothes and shapes the hair. These brushes can be used for medium to long sized hair. They can tame thick and curly hair, adding volume to thin hair.
