Preventing Scalp Problems:
There are plenty of scalp problems and if left untreated, lead to bigger serious problems and it can be hair loss. If the problems turn out to be serious it is better to consult a dermatologist.
The most common problems are dry dandruff and greasy dandruff. Long neglect of dandruff can cause baldness.
Another problem is head lice. It is mostly a disorder among children and they feed off the scalp. It is very contagious. It spreads at a very fast rate and it is better to take quick action as soon as it is noticeable to you.
Acne is another chronic inflammatory disease of the oil glands. When there is excess oil filled in the hair follicle along with dirt, a blackhead forms and causes a blockage at the mouth of the hair follicle. Irritation is caused in the scalp and then pus filled pimples come out. The scalp should be cleansed morning noon and night by application of medicines. Medicated creams and exfoliation also helps.
Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disease which commonly appears on the knees, elbows, and scalp. The cause of Psoriasis is unknown and it is not contagious. The lesions are round, dry patches covered with coarse, silvery scales. Psoriasis can be a difficult problem and should be treated by a dermatologist.

Some Essential Oils For Scalp:
Chamomile: It helps to retract skin cells that have been inflamed from chemical procedures and the sun.
Lavender: It soothens the scalp, works well to eradicate lice, dandruff and itchiness.
Clary Sage: It clarifies the scalp by removing the impurities and works well with other herbs and heals scalp problems such as psoriasis and when used with zinc, removes dandruff.
Sandalwood: It soothes and dries irritated scalp. It is an astringent, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.
Orange Oil: Regulates the production of sebum from the scalp.
Tea Tree: Good for oily or dry scalp, dandruff and lice.
