Caring For Your Makeup

Avoid Contamination From Make Up:
Makeup brushes and sponges can be a significant source of bacteria, fungus, mold and mildew which can spread to infections and rash, skin disorders like acne as well as allergies. Learn how to avoid infections and contamination from makeup brushes and sponges for good skin care health.

Tips On How To Take Care Of Make Up:

  1. While removing make-up, be sure to wash your hands, face and neck properly to remove any residue of make-up and pollution.
  2. Make sure to clean makeup brushes/sponges daily. After using the make-up brushes and sponges, clean them daily to avoid infections and diseases, allergies, skin disorders.
  3. After using the make-up tools, was them in a gentle botanical cleanser.
  4. Make sure when you wash the brushes, it is done thoroughly. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the makeup brushes and sponges until the water runs clean and there are no residual amounts of makeup on them, gently squeeze excess water out.
  5. Washing the brushes does not end the talk. You have to dry them out too. Simply air dry the makeup brushes by laying the handles on the sink so that the brush side is not touching the sink. Drying them fully prevents mildew formation on the brushes. You can dry sponges with a hand towel or paper towel until all the water comes out.
  6. Do not store brushes in an open container, make sure it is closed as dust forms on open things. Store dried brushes and sponges in an enclosed container until needed again. This will prevent any airborne dust and particles to get into the bristles which helps in the prevention of infection and contamination, or skin disorders like acne as well as illness or allergies.
