So avoid using dark shades or wear a base coat to avoid yellowing of nails in the future. Try out paler or lighter shades of polish that contains lower levels of pigment and that are unlikely to stain your nails. To get rid of the stains on the nails, rub it with lemon juice, then massage your hands and nails with moisturizer. Keep your nails polish free at least once a week and if the condition of staining persists, then it is time to consult a doctor to see if there is an underlying cause for this.
