Natural Deep-Cleansing Face Packs And Masks


Simple Face Pack:
Ingredients:
Selection of fruit and/or vegetables (see table)
5 ml/1 tsp yoghurt or almond oil;
In a non-metallic bowl, chop, grate or mash the fruit and vegetables to a pulp. Strain off the excess juice for healthy drink, and add the yoghurt (for oily skin), or oil (for dry skin) to the pulp. Spread or brush the mixture over your face and neck, avoiding the delicate skin around the eyes. Lie down for at least 10 minutes while it takes effect, then massage and rinse off.

Face Pack Ingredients For Your Skin Type
Sharp-tasting fruits, such as grape, lemon, tomato or peach, should be conbined with a more soothing, starchy fruit or vegetable, such as banana. Be careful if you include grape in a mixture, as it has a peeling effect on the skin; don't use it at all if your skin is dry or sensitive.
Normal Skin Avocado, Banana, Courgette, Grape, Peach
Dry Skin Avocado, Banana, Carrot, Melon, Pear
Oily Or Combination Skin Cucumber, Lemon, Cabbage, Pear, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Tangerine
Mature Skin Apple, Avocado, Banana
Blemished Skin Apple, Cabbage, Plums(boiled and allowed to cool), Tomato
In Hot Weather Cucumber, Strawberries

Avocado Facemask:Egg white and lemon juice usually suit oily complexions, but the addition of avocado, rich in natural oils, makes this a great soother for dry skin too.
Ingredients:
1 avocado; 5 ml/1 tsp lemon juice; 1 egg white;
Mash the avocado, mix in the other ingredients and apply to the face.

Apple Facepack:
This suits all skin types. If you have very oily skin, you may wish to use jojoba oil instead of almond.
Ingredients:
1/2 small apple, peeled and grated; 15 ml/1 tbsp honey; 1 egg yolk; 15 ml/1 tbsp cider or wine vinegar; 45 ml/3 tbsp almond oil;
Mix together all ingredients.

Juicy Mask:
Yoghurt cleanses the skin, while the juices feed it with vitamins and minerals.
Ingredients:
2.5 ml/ 1/2 tsp yoghurt; 15 ml/ 1 tbsp powdered brewer's yeast; 5 ml/ 1 tsp orange juice; 5 ml/ 1 tsp carrot juice; 5 ml/1 tsp almond oil.
Mix all the ingredients into a paste. If you have oily skin or darker patches, add 5 ml/ 1 tsp lemon juice; for very dry skin, double the oil content.

Simple Yoghurt Mask:
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of Organic Plain Yogurt; 1 Teaspoon of Honey; Splash of water.
Combine the ingredients, mix well and apply to the face. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes before gently washing off with warm water.
