Massage therapy is a practice of thousands of years . A massage can be defined as a skilful application of manual manipulation on the soft body tissues such as muscle, connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments to improve health and enhance well-being. However a spa massage is a combination of a massage, acupressure, reflexology etc...etc... it is more of a therapy to contribute to better health parameters, different kinds of massages have different health goals and techniques like kneading and passive stretching of muscles in the neck and back, as well as gliding strokes on both the front and back of legs and arms. ; for example. A spa massage therapy can be used to treat pain; it is very effective against muscle pains and even other forms of pain. A spa massage also improves blood circulation in the body. When the circulation in the body is not proper ,our body tissues do not receive enough oxygen and energy to perform daily and routine functions. A spa massage also reduces fatigue and stress. a spa massage is not just a massage but a short vacation that one can take on a weekend or on a day off; A massage is a holistic approach of therapy which contributes to the improvement of the respiratory, skeletal, muscular, lymphatic, circulatory, digestive, endocrine functions of the body along with mental and emotional well being. Thus releasing the body of a tightness stiffness, tight muscles, increasing oxygen flow and blood circulation. The immune system improves and harmful stress hormones are eliminated, and elevates the mood enhancing brain chemicals like serotonin and dopamine. The only disadvantage of a spa massage is greater in spas, and some establishments call themselves spas without licenses, and also use harmful products. A spa Massage therapy is to relieve pain, reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and rehabilitate sports injuries,... but before we do take a spa massage it is important to identify our health injuries. A Spa Massage usually last for 30 to 60 minutes; or even as short as 15 minutes or For chronic conditions, therapists often advise a series of appointments and long massages. In a good spa a well trained Therapist will always provide an environment that is as calm and relaxing with the help of soft music, dim lights and fragrances. Massages mixed with a medicinal intake can help remove the body of various illnesses and shifts the nervous system away from the sympathetic and toward the parasympathetic and increases the flow of lymph fluids also improves sleep. However Clinical styles of massage are different from relaxation massages because it invovlves therapeutic goals such as releasing muscle spasms or strengthening or stretching specific muscles affected by an injury.
