First Aid In Sports Or Exercise Injury: Sometime or the other, while exercising or playing games, an injury does occur.   1. If the bruise does not fade on its own and darkens and spread after few days, or red lines and irritation appear, then visit a doctor to find out if there is blood poisoning or infection that has set in.
  2. When there is intense pain in the injured area which is sprained and swelling occurs, then it is best to visit the doctor to see if there is a breakage. An anti inflammatory can be taken to get rid of the pain.
  3. If there is a severe cut in the skin, then get it checked immediately for additional damage below the skin. If there is moderate bleeding, then it needs medical attention. Large wounds, even though they don’t bleed, need to be attended to immediately in case stitches are required. Punctures too should be attended to cause they do not show visible signs of infection but later on get more dangerous than large wounds.
  4. If a person has a concussion on the head with an object and suffers from blurred vision, black out, headaches and disorientation, then immediate medical attention is required. There could be a brain damage, ultimately resulting in death.
  5. Broken bones are to be taken serious as they don’t mend on their own. If the bone is not set correctly, it can cause further damage and internal injury. Even though small accidents and small injuries take place, it can be handled at home but if the worst injury happens, you should be prepared and have knowledge what to do about it.
