Tips For Gymming:

  1. Make sure to carry a towel with you at all time and wipe the equipment after every use.
  2. It is necessary to keep yourself hydrated during your workouts, so carry a water bottle with you and do not spill on the equipments.
  3. Sign up beforehand for the use of cardiovascular equipment, such as treadmills and stair-climbing machines. During peak hours, schedules are often posted with 15 to 20-minute intervals.
  4. Work with other people in the weight room. Allow people to work in their sets with you if a line is forming for a specific machine. Offer your help to reset weight and apparatus settings.
  5. Keep the equipment back in its place after use. Be courteous and aware at all times to ensure enjoyable visits to the gym.
  6. If you are unsure of a specific exercise, don’t be afraid to ask someone for advice. Most people will be more than happy to share some tips with you if you have a good rapport with them.
  7. If you sweat excessively, change into a fresh shirt.
  8. Bring along a portable radio or headphones so that you can listen to the music and do your exercise.
  9. When you finish with a shower, do not leave hair all over the bathroom floor. It means that someone else will have to clean up before they can wash. Instead, rinse down the area with the showerhead.
  10. When changing weights on the bar, make sure that someone is holding one side.
  11. Before exercise, you must always be completely fresh for speed training if it is to be effective. So, no heavyweight training or hard endurance training the day before.

Home gyms are good and useful for those who wish to exercise but have time constraints, or are unable to set time aside to go to a gym. For some, it is the motivation factor that makes them go to the local gym, generally, if you see people around you exercising, it is a big influence to make you do the same. If you are a member of a local gym, you have to pay a monthly fee or a one-time registration fee, which sums up to a large sum. But if you want the comforts of your home and money is not a factor, then you can set up your own gym at home, which needs investment to buy equipment. So each one to its own likes and dislikes and comforts, every individual has their needs and in accordance to that, make their preference.
