Facials:

Your face changes its texture according to the change in weather. So take the condition of your skin into account before using the different facial masks:
Peel-off Masks: These are gel based masks. The gel is smoothened all over the face, if necessary, also on the neck area. It is left to dry and then removed by peeling off. This gives it a fresh look, removes excess oil from the skin, clears clogged pores and nourishes the dry skin.
Gel Masks: These are suitable for sensitive skin and also does good for oily complexions. Application of this get based mask leaves a cool and soothing effect. Leave on for about 5-10 minutes, and use when you feel irritation on your skin.
Moisturizing masks: These are meant to boost the moisture on your skin. It reduces wrinkles, fine lines and patches. Best for dry type of skin, it is usually kept on for 5-10 minutes before removing with a tissue.
Mud Masks: These are used on oily skin. It does great for removing excess grease and impurities, shrinking open pores and removing dirt and grime and dead skin cells, leaving it soft.

Waxing:
Waxing is the method of removing hair from the root. Hair will not grow back for at least two to eight weeks in the waxed area. Any area of the body can be waxed, be it the eyebrow, under arm, back, hand, leg, abdomen and bikini area. If waxing is done regularly, it decreases the growth of hair. You will be surprised to know that men are taking off their body hair by waxing. Waxed legs and chest used to be for male strippers, cyclists, swimmers and body builders, but those are long gone day. Now every man is following the trend of removing hair by means of waxing.
Waxing (Before Waxing):
Lightly exfoliate the skin and apply a moisturizer. You may take Tylenol, ibuprofen or another pain reliever if you have a low threshold for pain.
After Waxing:

  • Do not tan for 24 hours
  • Do not use deodorant for 24 hours (if underarms) as there will be a burning sensation
  • Do not cover areas waxed with any liquid makeup
  • Do not sit in a hot tub or sauna for 24 hours
  • Do Not Wax If: The skin is sunburned, menstruating, infected, cut (for bikini & Brazilian waxing) or using any of the following medications: Accutane, Retin A, Retinol, Tetracycline, Glycolic Acids or Alpha Hydroxy’s.
  • Check with your doctor if you are on any other medications before waxing. Some medications and skin care products can thin the skin and may cause tearing/scarring if waxed.
