Stress can be very dangerous if not addressed in a proper way, as it causes health hazards that lead to productivity, stress can result in serious problems and issues it is therefore a silent killer. Leading a healthy lifestyle is not about exercise and relaxation alone but a healthy life cannot be followed with out a healthy diet. There are a number of foods that provide relief from stress and all natural food items are therapeutic in nature. Fresh foods contain several other essential vitamins and minerals that help to maintain a healthy system, they not only reduce stress but simultaneously fuels your internal organs for better functioning, thus improving your quality of life. Having large portions of vegetables can be very beneficial, and they ease the symptoms of stress, such tomatoes are extremely good for health as they contain antioxidants and maintain the body’s immune system which protects the nerves from getting potentially damaged, as nerve damage is a direct effect of stress. Bananas and potatoes are rich in potassium. Potassium is also very essential for the nervous system. Vitamin C is an important source of stress relief and vegetables such as broccoli, green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and potatoes are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin B6, is helpful in maintaining emotional balance found in food items such as bananas, carrots and watermelon. The calcium found in milk and the magnesium contained in avocados helps fight stress levels in the body.

There are a number of factors that lead to our mental health:

  1. We all need to relax and give our minds space to feel the vibes of positive energy regularly. We must give ourselves time to sit back and analyze our day but in a relaxing mode. Give yourself a half hour spa session at least every three days if not daily wherein you can relax in a bathtub of warm water infused with essential oils or herbs.
  2. The food we eat can greatly affect the way we feel hence the way we live; Our physical demeanor and the the way feel about ourselves can greatly affect our personality. Indulge in healthy spa cuisine. Eat organic and seasonal fruits and vegetables. Make it a point to have a raw salads every day, because it has long term health benefit that can create a great impact on what we do in our professional and personal life.

Your home is your personal dwelling; a place where we spend most of our time; therefore we must take advantage of all the space we have at home. We can consciously choose to live a pleasant surroundings, by applying simple touches to our homes. Our homes can be the best in the world for us to live in if we can create a stress-free atmosphere and moreover stylize the house with exclusive touches like nice looking fur doormats, pretty curtains in floral prints or neutral colors; using lighting fixtures at tabletop height can make a room sparkle, especially light pendants can add a lot of character to your room. Personalize your home and incorporate it with a sense of well being that one can relate to a spa atmosphere display the spectrum of light, by adding paintings and pictures of soothing colours on your walls, pitchers of water with floating flower petals.

Always maintain a positive attitude, do not allow yourself to get angry or agitated, rather maintain a spa mood at all times. Try not to stress your self by thinking too much about negative situations, try to be happy by doing little things, set short term goals for yourself, and do not try to achieve those things that will not be conducive to your situation. The most important element about maintaining a relaxed frame of mind is by being realistic. It’s not always material goods or high achievements that add to mental satisfaction what matters is your outlook on life, and the quality of your relationships with the people around you. Do not get judgmental about other people be relaxed. Maintain a relaxed spa mood and get spa spontaneous with low stress and enhanced mood levels. Think right, if you think right you will do it right. Doing the right things also increases our self-esteem and gives a sense of accomplishment as well.
